The never ending saga of excuses...
I woke up with my alarm at 3:30 this morning, completely congested and miserable... and freezing cold but sweating... I have a fever. NO gym this morning... I'm hoping to feel better or well enough to get my workout in this afternoon, and then have a few hours before crossfit to rest up.
It's now 8:58am and I haven't had breakfast, I just got hungry.... I'll start my day normally once my substitute teacher shows up. I went into work knowing that no one would take the job fast enough to be on time and my kiddos have STAAR retakes- they need their normal routine to do their best, so I rushed into work without breakfast... hoping the sub would be here slightly faster than what is happening... School started at 7:45. I'll run to the post office, then go home and make breakfast... hopefully go back to bed for a bit, run an errand, eat a snack, go workout... eat lunch, shower/nap, eat a snack... and so on.. I'll update when all that starts... but for now, I'm still at work, hungry, congested, and not terribly enthused.

So I got around to getting home, about 10:00... ate "breakfast" Which actually ended up being a part of my steak from the other night and half a sweet potato and then I slept for 2 hours.

Felt a little better, ran some errands... had a protein shake, some cashews, and applesauce (instead of a small apple)... then headed to the gym. I got everything done for Day 2 except the mile run and abs, I figured I would do it on my "rest day"... I'll probably take one FULL rest day, where I simply swim, but I can't commit to two full days yet... I know it's active rest, but I still work- so I do CF... that wrong?

Then I did something dumb... I still went to CF, I was in worse shape than I anticipated... coming down from my endorphin high at Gold's...
warm up was fine, but I couldn't lift hardly anything- made me sad. I only got my split jerk up to 155.... and I scaled the workout (85#) and only did 3 rounds instead of 5.

With that, I came home and assembled dinner... I'm off of Ashley's meal plans for a bit, I do like that when I can't be creative it is there- but I eat pretty well, I just needed the push to do the workouts... and I'm enjoying putting oatmeal and rice back into my diet and still seeing progress.

Turkey Burgers are on her menu for Wednesday night, but I did them on Tuesday (REBEL!)... Taco turkey burgers with guac and bacon... Yum :)
I took a bath, chatted with a good looking man... and went to bed...
Phase 1 Day 2, DONE!
*Stay fit*
